Il Barretto Caffè

So!!!! What a cute little gem of a spot...we had the pleasure of being served by the owners Giovanni & Sandra - what a duo!! Exceptional concept served with warmth ! We had a beautiful sunny day and got the chance to enjoy the terrace. They do have a quaint indoor seating as well - but decided to take advantage of our last warm days. Coffee quality was truly amazing - Italian rich blend without a doubt, felt like being in a piazza in central Rome with italian sounds being played to warm the surroundings. Definitely worth a stop in. I also must note for the quality being served we did not find it expensive at all ! No where have I found a freshly made Maritozzi tasting exaclty like in central Italy and their gelato - madonna mia! May this little spot flourish and grow into this couples dream! And yes we could not leave without practically tasting everything they offer - including a fashionable Hugo Spritz !!! Yes at 11 am ... to hard to pass up! I snuck in a few pictures while they were serving others ! Ohhhh what freshness!

Had the matcha/coffee flight and strawberry bliss. Their pastries look and taste amazing! The patio is dog friendly so we came for a treat after our hike.

It was definitely worth the drive n wait. Staff were very friendly and kind. They gave me free cannolis on the house, when they got to know I came from so far away just to visit this place. Pastries were filled with really nice and fresh cream. It was so light and fluffy. Would definitely visit again

What a gem! If you’re looking for a little piece of Italia heaven, you will find it at il Barretto cafe in St. Catherines! The owners Sandra & John welcome us like family. Must try infamous Rome maritozzi pastry. 10/10 ⭐

Interesting little Italian café situated in a hair salon. They know their business and are very kind and welcoming. Took a little trip into St.Catharines to try this café today. I will say, they dont disappoint. The Canoli is filled to order, we got a 1/2 dozen so there were 2 of each flavor (traditional, pistachio, and hazelnut). The rest of the order was 2 Caramel Latte which puts Starbucks to shame. Highly recommend making some time to come and try this local gem! I will certainly be back.

Stopped by Il Barretto for their coffee and matcha flight and it was absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere and the staff are all so friendly! A hidden gem I’ll definitely be coming back to!

One of my new favorite places. I love iced coffee and i can honestly say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, I don’t even like pistachios but I devoured this lol!

Il Barretto has definitely made my list of go to cafés in Niagara. After talking it up for months I was finally able to coordinate my family all making it out and everyone was beyond impressed. I haven’t not seen this place busy any time that I’ve dropped in, so be prepared to be patient, but it is well worth the wait. Sandra and John are powerhouses, they get everything done themselves and are always friendly and accommodating while meeting the high demand. Definitely splurge on a pastry, everything is made fresh daily and so so good! This time around we were able to try their iconic coffee/matcha flight and each flavour was delicious. My only note would be that we wished that the flight cups were sliiightly larger or served chilled without ice as we were only getting a couple sips of each drink. We were happy with everything and found that the price was reasonable for the quality of everything that was had. The seating inside is limited but the patio is gorgeous. This little caffé really embraces Italian coffee culture and I can’t wait to come back soon to try their aperitivo offerings!
